International Women's Day 2024
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. The campaign theme for International Women's Day 2024 is Inspire Inclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.
How we are supporting IWD in 2024
On this International Women’s Day, the Community Strengthening Team be hosting events across all campuses to honour and support pregnant women in remote regions of the developing world, supporting Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia). We will come together to assemble birthing kits, which will then be distributed to mothers through community outreach programs, provided to health facilities for use by doctors, midwives and nurses. The event is open to all students and staff.
