Each year we hold social work specific on-campus welcome and induction sessions in Orientation Week. These are for all new and continuing BSW(Hons) and MSW(Q) students. You are required to attend the session in your region, where you will receive essential information about your social work studies and there will be time for you to ask questions. For our continuing students, it would be great if you came prepared to share some words of wisdom with your peers in previous years of the degree.

All new and continuing BSW with Honours and MSW(Q) students are required to attend social work specific on-campus welcome and induction sessions in Orientation Week.

You will receive essential information about your social work studies and there will be time for you to ask questions. These sessions are an important opportunity for you to meet teaching staff and your peers ahead of the start of semester. There will also be an additional, compulsory Zoom (online) information and Q&A session about field education (placements) in week 1 of Semester 1. More information will be provided about all of these sessions closer to the date.
