Academic Division Roadshow in May

The Academic Division is on the road in May!  Please come and join us at the sessions being held across the state during the week of 6th May. 

Following the arrival of several new colleagues to senior positions, the Roadshow gives the Divisional leadership team the opportunity to introduce themselves and the work of their portfolios. Panel members will include: 

  • Professor Ian Anderson AO, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic  

  • Professor Mitch Parsell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education 

  • Professor Martin Grimmer, Pro-Vice Chancellor Academic Excellence Pro Vice-Chancellor  

  • Associate Professor Sadie Heckenberg, Pro Vice-Chancellor Aboriginal Leadership 

  • Dr. James Brann, Pro Vice-Chancellor Student Equity & Success 

  • Professor Nicholas Farrelly, Pro Vice-Chancellor Southern Campuses 

  • Associate Professor Sonya Stanford, Pro Vice-Chancellor Cradle Coast and region 

  • Pro Vice-Chancellor Launceston 

The panel will share the 2024 Academic Division Annual Plan and invite contributions to shaping future plans and priorities, as we progress the University-wide refresh of our UTAS Strategic Plan and next steps arising from the Universities Accord.   

The sessions have been scheduled for 90 minutes, to begin with presentations for about 45 minutes and then plenty of time for conversation, Q & A and feedback from those able to join in.
